Shopping in Rome: Hassan shoes

If you travel in Rome you cannot miss Hassan shoes stores that are located in several parts of the city.

Me and Alice of Appunti di Moda had the chance of being invited to spend a full afternoon in the Vigna stelluti store together with Daniel and Giorgia, the 3rd generation of the Hassan family. 

I couldn't help it, I had to buy my own pair of Hassan shoes....guess which one I have picked?

Mam rano troszkę czasu, więc skrobnę coś dla Was :) od wczoraj mieszkają u mnie Sylwek i Ania. Po pracy leciałam do domu jak najszybciej, aby móc się z nimi spotkać- i chociaż Sylwek mieszka ode mnie parę kroków, to i tak się wprowadziła na parę dni, tak najlepiej :) niedługo zjemy śniadanko, póki co dziewczyny się ogarniają, potem ruszamy na miasto! Niech tylko pogoda się zmieni... 

A wczoraj spędziłyśmy wieczór u mnie, ognisko w taką pogodę niestety nie wypaliło... Wypiłyśmy piwko, pooglądałyśmy filmiki, tv, porobiłyśmy zdjęcia, a potem poszłyśmy na spacer pokazać Ani  osiedle- zdjęcia na stacji benzynowej wymiotły system, podobnie jak zdjęcia w windzie i piwnicy :D a także komentarz, kiedy zaczęłam pozować do zdjęć z rurą do wypełniania benzyny^^ ;D fun :D

Zdjęcia wrzucę, kiedy tylko skolekcjonuję wszystkie z pobytu Ani :) dziś pokażę Wam najnowszy outfit, sprzed kilku dni. Wtedy jeszcze nie padało, więc spokojnie mogłam wybrać się na zdjęcia... Na sobie mam śliczną, miętową koszulę oversize z zamkiem z tyłu- pochodzi ze sklepu Impress(jeśli przy zakupach powołacie się na mojego bloga, otrzymacie prezent- niespodziankę od właścicieli, więc tym bardziej Was do niego zapraszam :)). Do tego założyłam jasno siwy sweterek na chłodniejsze momenty dnia, leginsy, a także moje Realowe baleriny, które zdają o dziwo egzamin nawet w pracy! ;)

And they're off!

Why, yes, that is a giant horse on the front of my shirt. Thank you so much for asking! But actually thats not a shirt. Its a dress! A body con dress to be exact. You can see a better picture of it here (and by better I mean mobile phone better :P). Who knew I'd actually end up wearing this dress more than once? I'm fairly sure Anna didn't think I would. Actually, I think she was a bit horrified when I told her I bought a giant horse dress to begin with.

But you know what? I love it. I really, really do.

There's just really something fantastic about it. And y'know if you can't wear a giant horse on your outfit at the horse races, I don't know when else you should! Its a shame I didn't get chances to take photos of my outfit at the actual races. The problem with being the person with the camera is that you're more often behind it, than in front of it. Which isn't a bad thing! I love taking photos and what not, but unfortunately it didn't give me a chance to take advantage of the change in sceanery. So guys get stuck with boring backyard photos once again.

But no worries! BFs back from China which means I get to force him to be my photographer soon! w00t!

Artwork/Illustration Spotlight - Belinda Chen

Belinda Chen is a 24 years old freelance illustrator, visual designer and print-maker who has graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. 

After having lived in Melbourne and Berlin for a while she now resides in Shanghai. Belinda creates amazing drawings and collages in mixed media style and she loves character design and narrative story telling.

I find Belinda has a very unique and imaginative style and I appreciate her confidence in trying different things when it comes to her art while also being true to herself! 

I absolutely love her play with outlines and the fantastic pops of color against white backgrounds. This technique makes her fashion illustrations look effortless, elegant and truly inspirational.

No wonder her work has been featured in numerous magazines such as Nylon, N*Style, Madison, SOKO and Gloss Creative.

I also found this interesting presentation/interview of Belinda’s on touchnote that I feel gives us a little more insight into her creative world:

I guess I enjoyed drawing a lot and I love seeing people enjoy my work.

Who's my favorite artist? Frida Kahlo, she is amazing! I love the colors, passion and story. I also love surrealist stuff involving space and dreams.

I am very much into Pop Art, such as Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol. I love the fun aspect of their work and the bright colors they use. I also like retro images and photos.

I love the detail and delicate lines in Wenzel Hablik crystal and geological inspired etchings. I find lines fascinating; lines in children’s drawings, lines in nature, lines created by fireworks, etc.

Strój dnia!

Cześć.

Jest mi po prostu źle. Tragicznie, okropnie, ciężko, smutno. Cholera by to wszystko! Dlaczego to wszystko tak cholernie się komplikuje ? Dlaczego ten cholerny świat, mój świat, nasz świat tak wariuje ? Dlaczego nagle spadł nam wszystkim na głowę ? Gdzie popełniliśmy błąd, co zrobiliśmy, że otrzymujemy taką kare ?

Nie mówię tu  sobie. Bo ja ejstem najmniej poszkodowana, ale to poczucie winy mnie zje. Już zjada. Cholera! 

Nienawidzę tego.

Oświadczam iż jestem totalnie i absolutnie załamana.

I za to też muszę się winić. Zawsze wszystko najbardziej przeżywam. 

Jeszcze nigdy nie czułam do siebie takiej... odrazy, takiego wstrętu, wstydu ?

Nie wiem. Brakuje mi słów, choć jest ich aż nadto.

SHIRTS OBSESSION

One of the garments I always have in my wardrobe, one of those perfect for each season, is definitely the shirt. White, colored, floral, leopard ... I have it in all patterns, so you surely understand  that I could not avoid falling in love with the ones proposed by Nara Camicie, Italian company that makes delicious and high quality garments. Personally I love the models of the Spring Summer 2012 Collection, I find them perfect to give an extra twist to any outfit! And you? What do you think?

Uno dei capi davvero immancabili nel mio guardaroba, uno di quelli trasversali, presenti in ogni stagione è sicuramente la camicia. Bianca, colorata, a fiori, leopardata... ne ho davvero di tutti e tipi e tutte le forme per cui, capirete bene, che non potevo che innamorarmi dei modelli proposti da Nara Camicie, azienda italiana che crea capi deliziosi e di grande qualità. Personalmente adoro i modelli della collezione primavera estate 2012, li trovo perfetti per regalare quel twist in più ad ogni outfit! E voi cosa ne pensate?
