Introduction to a Dump Valve

With the prosperity of the valve industry, many types of the valve have been designed and manufactured to suit the more and more complex and specific industrial requirements. In fact, all valves are making contributions to certain fields. A dump valve is generally regarded as an important and necessary component for mostly turbo-charged cars. This component favors a lot at attaining high levels of speed and performance for the relative cars.
Generally speaking, a dump valve refers to the device which is mainly placed in the engines of turbo-charged cars, especially placed between the throttle body and compressor. Or it can be said that it plays an important role at transferring between the body and compressor. It can be explained in details in the following. When the throttle closes, the positioned dump valve opens to allow excess compressor flow to escape into the atmosphere or to return to the compressor. This would be mainly determined by the specific condition. As a result, the flow has been maintained in a proper level. At the same time, such can draw energy from the rotating assembly and slows the turbo down more quickly. Therefore, the dump valve is able to take its own effects.
In the end, the positioned dump valve is able to prevent the attached engine from being in surge. Surge indicated the unpleasant change of the pressure. If the flow in the compressor reduces suddenly, the pressure inside would change in a short time. The quick change can cause the compressor to be in an unstable working condition, even in total operating failure. No matter what, the dump valve is actually necessary and indispensable part for some fields. And it goes on making contributions to the entire industrial development.
